Suddenly this moment. At the beach shack, Betty is angry with Zorg's nasty boss and starts throwing everything out the windows. Zorg and a neighbour watch from a safe distance. The old guy says something like '...dis donc ça va être zen chez toi.' It's going to be very Zen, empty of all the stuff. The camera pans along the sandy ground past an orange plastic tub lying on its side and the light shining through it thrills me!
One invents nothing - it is channeled through us , it is seared onto our hearts and retinas even when we are not fully conscious of it. Director Jean-Jacques Beineix, Cinematography Jean-François Robin. So much to admire about the movie, but thank you, guys, for the plastic tub!
Photograph of the day (seems I'm loving the indistinct at the moment) is soft and grainy - but then we are in the dark part of the year and this was taken deep down in the dim of the tube.
